'The common pyparis of the town be feynt for the honour of the town'

paulthepipercrop

This entry from the Records of the Burgh of Edinburgh on the 15th of August 1487 marks the beginning of employing pipers for Burghs in the lowlands of Scotland.

For centuries pipers have been an integral part of weddings, feasts and many other occasions across Scotland.

This ancient but stirring sound can add an extra dimension to any event you are organising. Paul's 19 years experience at playing the Great Highland Bagpipes has been appreciated at many events. including weddings, formal dinners, parties, corporate promotions and of course Burns Night and New Years Eve. Paul has also played at many funerals where he is quite often available at short notice.

The repertoire is large and includes such favourites as 'Scotland the Brave' 'Skye Boat Song' 'Flower of Scotland' 'Wedding March' 'Highland Cathedral' 'Mull of Kintyre' etc. Most of the music however, has been written specifically for the unique range of the pipes. The more popular styles being marches, Strathspeys, jigs and hornpipes.

Sussex, Kent, Surrey and Hampshire are the home counties normally covered.
